Institutional research and development
The University conducts institutional research to improve its professional management capabilities through self-accreditation and self-improvement. First, in the agenda-setting phase, the University proposes innovation requirements for each agenda, determines the priority of the innovation plans corresponding to each agenda, and establishes detailed plans. In the implementation phase, the University alters and adjusts its agenda according to innovation demands. In the agenda promotion process, the University spreads its influence to analyze the concerns of students, parents, communities, society, corporations, and the government and advocates for sustainable development.
The Office of Institutional Research determines the priorities of the following institutional development objectives:
(1) Improve learning outcomes: Provide learning outcome quality assurance, increase students’ opportunities for interdisciplinary learning, and enhance student learning alarm and counseling mechanisms.
(2) Provide diverse improvement methods for faculty: Enhance the practical teaching competency of faculty, initiate academia–industry collaboration, spur faculty growth, develop diverse faculty improvement channels, and establish diverse promotion channels for faculty and accreditation standards.
(3) Integrate resources for effective organizational management: Establish an effective and flexible decision-making management mechanism, apply for competition-related project subsidies, and enhance enrollment management and collegiate management functions.
(4) Establish a sustainable nursing and health care campus: Continue developing a prediction and management model for tracking alumni outcomes , maintain sustainable development, and shape the features and paradigms of the campus.
These objectives align with the education provided by the University as a science and technology university and the natural development of society, conform with the medium-term and long-term goals of the University, and correspond with the predicted outcomes of institutional development. By promoting the five main strategic goals of “promoting cross-region collaboration and driving practical innovation and internationalization,” “promoting structural reforms and upholding professional responsibilities,” “strengthening strategic alliances and achieving teaching excellence,” “activating the campus space and developing the campus,” and “shaping a professional image and creating a new campus culture,” and applying related strategic development and action plans, the University endeavors to achieve sustainable operations development.
